My Moon Musings… 

The last Gemini full moon came to help you to make choices about your future. Then, to help us to expand into a new traditional year and cosmic consciousness, was the Sagittarius new moon. Now, to help you to begin the year in deep devotion and commit to what you want is the Cancer full moon.

Our first moon of 2026 is the moon at home in her ruling sign of Cancer, illuminating our way into the new traditional year ahead.

Firstly, full moons always bring closure, completion and culmination, and especially this full moon as she helps us to usher in a new year. Under the light of this full moon something will become clear to you that you are no longer meant to carry forwards.

It will likely be something that you have been aware of over the last year, or maybe longer, but there will be a shift at this moon, an undeniable knowing that it is done, finished and it’s time to let it go with love (and that may be out of love for yourself as you finally decide to love yourself more and no longer keep allowing certain things).

And speaking of which, this is something this moon is going to really help you to step into – self-love, self-worth and self-knowing, asking you to also come home to yourself. If you can begin the year belonging to your authentic self that will bring a shift beyond anything that you can imagine and change the year ahead for you in so many ways.

The moon in Cancer brings a sense of home, connection, inner security and commitment and she wants to know how you will commit to yourself as we enter a new traditional year.

This moon is a mini rebellion. It’s asking you to look at where you have followed societal norms and expectations too much and how you can begin to nudge out of the boundaries that have held you stuck and small or not believing in yourself for too long.

We’re being asked to move into this year not with a rigid to do list and more expectations but in quiet devotion, trust, truth and faith. To find purpose over pushing, devotion over deadlines, and reverence over resolutions.

See this moon like a purification process where you are asked to let go of those things in your life that feel rigid, restrictive and that continually take too much. Look at where you have been overexerting, overworking and over giving, trying to prove yourself or your worth.

And as we clear our lives and energy from all that keeps us merely existing rather than living, we get to raise our frequency to the higher states of being and become beacons of love, oneness, compassion, caring, grace, flow, giving and receiving.

If you can devote your year to being of service in the very best way that you can be, you will have one of your most meaningful and purposeful years ever. So, what will you quietly devote to over these first few months of the year to see it come to life? Whatever you devote to is what will grow.

Let’s step into this new year, together and be the service, devotion and difference that the world needs…
